Chromatic Character Celebration is a gift exchange for art, fic, podfic, and vids that focus on one or more chromatic characters.

For the purposes of this event, a chromatic character is any character who is not white, not portrayed by a white actor, and/or is a member of a marginalized racial/ethnic group. This includes mixed-race characters (including white-appearing mixed-race characters) and Romani characters. More information about who counts as a chromatic character is available below.

In the comments, please feel free to promote canons you plan to request! There is no set format, but consider using something similar to the Yuletide canon promo format, which includes the name of the canon, what you love about it, and optionally where it can be LEGALLY obtained.

If there is a possibility that your nominated character or group doesn't appear to qualify based on a quick google search, or if you expect there will be questions about your nomination, please leave a comment here with the necessary context.

For example:

"I'm nominating Nick Fury under Marvel's Ultimate Universe. The search results might be confusing since there are so many Nick Furies, but the Ultimate Universe version of Fury is Black."

Or:

"I want to nominate James Nichols from Eric Flint's Ring of Fire books. Since he might not come up on google search, I wanted to let you know he's canonically Black."
